When you walk through the door at REMAX Real Estate Team, Lisa Torres is the friendly face that will welcome you to our office!
Lisa has worked in the real estate industry for over 20 years. Lisa began her real estate career as an appraisal apprentice. She obtained her real estate license shortly after where she credits a lot of her success in the early stages of her career to the late Bob Burrell. As a REALTOR®, Lisa learned the importance of really listening to the needs of a client. Buying a home is an emotional process and clients need to know that every member of the team is there to assist them, without fail. Her experience as a REALTOR® hammered home the importance of delivering on promises. IF you say you are going to do something – do it. As a REALTOR®, Lisa was the recipient of many quality service awards – which she will tell you meant more to her than any level of sales award.
Lisa grew up in the greater Flint area with her mother and older sister. Lisa is the mother to three awesome children. Two are biological and one she was blessed with having entered her life unexpectedly. Her son is a student of design at Central Michigan University and her two daughters begin their senior year in 2014. Family is the most important thing in Lisa’s life. Her children keep her laughing and appreciating the small things.
Lisa is a very creative person. She loves to draw, paint and sculpt in her spare time. Lisa is a huge supporter of the FIRST Robotics program in which her daughters participate.
When asked what she loves most about her career in real estate, Lisa will tell you that there are two experiences that will instantly come to mind. First, as an office administrator, working closely as support for REMAX Real Estate Team’s wonderful agents and watching them close their most difficult transactions is extremely rewarding.
Secondly, being a part of people achieving their dream of home ownership is something that is just simply amazing to Lisa. Once, while at the office during a closing, Lisa heard a little boy tell the REMAX agent “thank you for finding us a pretty house”. Her heart melted.
Hearing a simple “thank you” is one of the greatest rewards in this industry!
